If you have to peel garlic and do not like the job, it can be
done without effort doing the following:
Separate the cloves of garlic one by one. Place
them on the counter or a firm base, take a knife with a wide
blade. Put the blade on top of the garlic clove and give it
a sharp tap. You will see how the skin will split and you can
remove the garlic clove. I assure you this will ease the job
especially if you have many cloves to peel.
CRUSH GARLICS
A trick to keep the garlic from jumping out of the mortar when
you crush them.
Put a little salt in the bottom of the mortar, then add the
garlic and you can crush them without problem. I assure you
that they will not jump out. You must be cautious not to add
too much salt so as not to make your dish too salty.
