There are certain foods that you should never go without in your
kitchen. Even though they may seem simple they can help often
and are always the basis for good cooking.
Garlic: These last a long time
and do not need to be repalced often.
Fresh parsley If you put it in a glass of water
and store ir in the refridgerator it will keep many days.
Onions: These also last a long time athough
not as long as some of the above.C
Tomatoes: These are very delicate and will
go bad in about a week, but you have the option of canned
tomatoes. These should be whole, peeled tomatoes. It is true
that the quality is not the same.
Thes will keep a couple of weeks.
Vinegar: This is used in many recipes also
in salads. It is a good substitute for white wine and is much
less expensive in many countries.
Oil: This is indespendible, the best is olive
oil but sunflower or corn oil can be used equally well in
any recipe.
Vinegar: It is used in many prescriptions
in addition to in the salads, is a good substitute of the white
wine and rather more cheap in certain countries.
Oil: This if that is essential, the best one is the one of olive
but the one of sunflower or maize can be worth to us perfectly for
any prescription.
Besides all these it is
also a good idea to have spices such as:
Pepper.
Pimentón.
Saffron or yellow food coloring.
Orégano.
Thyme.
Bay leaves.
These are simple
things, but I assure you they will add a great deal of flavor
to your dishes.
